URC Final: Leinster star officially ruled out, key duo doubtful
INJURY UPDATE: Leinster head coach Leo Cullen has issued an injury update ahead of Friday’s United Rugby Championship Grand Final against the Bulls.
Cullen confirmed that powerhouse loosehead prop Andrew Porter will play no part in the showdown at Croke Park.
The 30-year-old left the field with a calf injury in the first half of Leinster’s 20-11 semifinal win over the Stormers.
Meanwhile, Leinster will also be sweating over captain Caelan Doris and hooker Dan Sheehan ahead of the Final.
In a statement, the Irish province revealed that they are due to be further assessed, and a decision on their availability will be made later in the week.
Doris suffered a knee injury in that victory over the Stormers, while Sheehan played no part in the semifinal.
There are no further updates on Ryan Baird, Jack Boyle, Will Connors, Hugh Cooney, RG Snyman, Charlie Tector and Paddy McCarthy.
