Van der Merwe nearing Edinburgh return

INJURY UPDATE: Edinburgh has issued a squad update ahead of their United Rugby Championship clash against Connacht.

Lewis Wells (ankle) and Tom Dodd (shoulder) have returned to training, with the latter expected to be fully fit by June.

Scotland winger Duhan van der Merwe (ankle) is expected to return during May.

The following players are still unavailable due to injury: Paul Hill (back), Ben Vellacott (foot), Robert Carmichael (wrist), Ross McCann (foot), Dave Cherry (knee), Emiliano Boffelli (hamstring), Matt Scott (back), Jamie Hodgson (tricep), Luke Crosbie (pectoral), Connor Boyle (knee)
