Veteran Coetzee still delivers the goods

STAT ATTACK: Bulls loose forward Marcell Coetzee’s efforts in the Trans-Jukskei derby against the Lions tells the tale in his side’s 37-22 United Rugby Championship win over the Lions at Ellis Park.

The 33-year-old was simply everywhere in the Bulls’ bonus point victory against their neighbours, the Lions.

Coetzee was in the top two for both carries and tackles, capping his tireless efforts with a try which proved to be crucial in the match outcome.

Speaking after the game, the 31-time capped Springbok said: “I just want to thank all the Bulls fans for coming out here at Ellis Park and the people at home for supporting us.

“It was a special derby with the brothers.”
