Club legend Brok Harris, along with Dave Ewers, retired during and after the United Rugby Championship season, respectively.

Springbok scrumhalf Herschel Jantjies will further his career in France with Bayonne, whilst fellow No.9 Paul de Wet had been rumoured to join the arch-rival Bulls.

Mercurial flyhalf Manie Libbok, as reported earlier this year by @rugby365com, will in all likelihood join Japanese Division Two outfit Liners. It remains unknown whether the deal is short-term or long-term.

Hooker Joseph Dweba joins Premiership side Exeter Chiefs and wing Angelo Davids links up with the Lions to fill the void left by Edwill van der Merwe.

Clayton Blommetjies departed midway through the season to join the Cheetahs, and Ben Loader signed with Gloucester in pursuit of chasing his England dream.
