Dagbreek edge out Nadoes
Steinhoff Dagbreek (Maties) edged out the Steinhoff Tornadoes 15-5 to qualify for the semifinals of the 2010 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships.
The Nadoes, whose only try was scored by flyhalf Matthew Russell, will be disappointed at missing out on the play-offs – but they lost to a better team on the day.
Wingers Jonathan Snyman and Danie Kritzinger scored Dagbreek’s two tries at the Green Mile, with fullback Deon Lourens converting just one of their five-pointers and also adding a crucial penalty goal.
Dagbreek will play Steinhoff Maroela (Tuks) in the semifinals, the Pretoria-based side ending the Northern Section unbeaten.
