Hail delays Jo'burg Koshuis clashes

UJ’s Steinhoff Koshuisrugby matches for Week Three were postponed because of the hail storms that surprised Johannesburg on Monday night. These matches will now be played on Sunday, May 9.

The Steinhoff Koshuis League continues to grow at the University of Johannesburg with the introduction of a new team, Soweto, that hails from the UJ Soweto campus. They replace the underperforming Voerendag.

It should be interesting to see the outcome of this year’s UJ Steinhoff Koshuisrugby League, with teams like DFC – having won two games this season – showing that they are in it not to compete, but to win it!

Next week’s second team games kick-off with the physical Kanniedood up against the Lions Factory, Bastion v DFC at 7pm, with Afslaan v Drom at 8pm and Majuba v Chiros at 9pm.

The first team games will see Kanniedood take on Oppierif and Afslaan go up against last year’s finalists, Dromedaris, at 8pm and 9pm, respectively.

Last year’s winners, Bastion, will enjoy a bye this week.
