Nieuwoudt and co. ready for finale

Hooker Cornel Nieuwoudt will lead Steinhoff Dagbreek into battle against Steinhoff Vishuis in Monday’s Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Final at Stellenbosch’s Danie Craven Stadium.

Having gone down 7-24 to this selfsame Vishuis team (from Shimlas) in Round One of this top-notch Residence tournament, Stellenbosch’s Dagbreek will be the underdogs heading into Monday’s finale on their own turf.

But with the likes of hooker Nieuwoudt, Lukas Kruger and Deon Lourens (pictured, right) – all of whom have featured regularly this season for Dagbreek – in the mix, the home team will no doubt make life tough for Vishuis.

The 2010 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships Final will, once again, be televised live on SuperSport One. Kick-off is at 4.15pm.

The Steinhoff Dagbreek team: 15 Ryan Nell, 14 Jonathan Snyman, 13 Lukas Kruger, 12 Loutjie Uys, 11 Danie Kritzinger, 10 Deon Lourens, 9 Prieur de Jager, 8 Frans de Bruin, 7 Marius Reitz, 6 Sybrand Engelbrecht, 5 Herman Nortjé, 4 Jaco Jacobs, 3 Stephan Slabbert, 2 Cornel Nieuwoudt (captain), 1 AJ Van Reenen.
Replacements: 16 Pierre Fouche, 17 Bakkies Reyneke, 18 Pieter Hendrik Greyling, 19 Jaco Janse van Vuuren, 20 Enem Kritzinger, 21 John Uys, 22 Danie van Wyk.
