Tuks get set to crown a new champion

The Steinhoff Tuks House League title will change hands in 2010, after 2009 champions Maroela failed to make the play-offs.

The four first teams to contest the semifinals next Tuesday are Onderstepoort, Boekenhout, Mopanie and Sonop.

In the last matches played in the group phase on August 24, OP took care of Taaibos (21-6), Sonop beat Maroela 37-6, Mopanie had the better of Kollege (17-10), whilst Boekenhoutt won against Vividus.

A new champion will also be crowned in the Under-20 competition, as defending champion Taaibos did not qualify for the semifinals.

The fixtures for the semifinals are:

Friday, August 27:
– 5.30pm: Second teams
Mopanie v Jakarandia (TuksRugby A); VOB v EBIT (TuksRugby B)

Tuesday, August 31:
– 5.30pm: Under-20
Boekenhout v Vividus (TuksRugby B); Ysterhout v Olympus (TuksRugby B)

– 7:15pm: First teams
Boekenhout v Mopanie (TuksRugby A); Onderstepoort v Sonop (TuksRugby B)
