As the 2010 FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International nears its business-end, we would like you – our loyal website readers and supporters – to begin voting for YOUR Player(s) of the Tournament.
Three shortlists (of three players each) have been drawn up; the Player that Rocks (overall Player of the Tournament), the Backline Player that Rocks (the Back of the Tournament) and the Forward that Rocks (Forward of the Tournament) and you can begin voting for your favourite player NOW!
The hard-working forwards – for once – dominate the Player that Rocks list, whilst Maties prop Lourens Adriaanse and UCT No.8 JJ Gagiano (pictured) have been nominated in two categories.
Predictably, the Maties dominate the lists, with three of their players nominated – in all of the categories. UCT and Shimlas each have one player nominated.
Star UJ hooker Edgar Marutlulle is the only player nominated (he is amongst the Forward that Rocks) that is not involved in today’s semifinals.
Members of the public can either vote online (by clicking HERE), or via SMS – by SMS’ing the word ‘Varsity’, followed by the category you are voting for (A, B or C), and the player’s name, to 34581. (SMS’s cost R2.)
