Back to Stellenbosch we go!

The 2010 Varsity Cup Final – between FNB Maties and FNB UCT – will take place at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch on Monday, March 29. Kick-off will be at 6.30pm.

Maties, the back-to-back defending champions, moved into a third successive home final with a classy 47-11 win over the FNB Pukke last night, with UCT having earlier outplayed FNB Shimlas 27-21 at a predictably windy Green Mile.

Both the Maties and UCT have been the best teams in the 2010 FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International and Monday’s clash – a repeat of the dramatic 2008 final – should, once again, be a real thriller.

Steinhoff Dagbreek (Maties) and Steinhoff Vishuis (Shimlas) will play in the Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships Final beforehand (kick-off TBC), with both sides having won their semifinals against Maroela (Tuks) and Villagers (Pukke), respectively, on Monday evening.
