Coutriers at fullback for TUT

Adilo Coutriers has been named at fullback for the FNB TUT Vikings, as the winless Men from Tshwane chase their first Varsity Cup win since 2008.

TUT are in Potchefstroom to face up to last year’s losing finalists, the FNB Pukke, a tough assignment at the best of times – especially with Pukke needing a full-house of five points to keep up the pressure on UCT on the Varsity Cup log.

The return of Coutriers, however, will boost the visitors.

Coutriers boasts Vodacom Cup experience, for the Blue Bulls, and he will be hoping to lift his team to a much-needed victory ahead of next week’s final-round fixture against FNB NMMU – a match that could decide the 2010 Wooden Spoon.

The FNB TUT Vikings team: 15 Adilo Coutriers, 14 Johan Swartz, 13 Hansie Graaff, 12 Simphiwe Mtkulu, 11 Thabo Motau, 10 Jaco Oosthuizen, 9 Manny Raposo, 8 Wikus Botes, 7 Emile Verster (captain), 6 Vincent Gwavu, 5 Dewald van Deventer, 4 Johan Steenkamp, 3 Braam van der Merwe, 2 Dean Muir, 1 Juan Pike.
Replacements: 16 Alfred Khoza, 17 Jacques van Rooyen, 18 Werner Lourens, 19 Ryno Lopes, 20 Theunis Schoeman, 21 Felix Godlo, 22 Ruan van Loo, 23 Marco van Deventer.
