Hundred-up for ruthless Pukke

FNB Pukke, losing Varsity Cup finalists in 2009, scored an incredible 102-3 win over Alberton on Saturday – despite the match being called off 12 minutes from full-time.

The Men from Potchefstroom – who have qualified for three successive Varsity Cup semifinals – were in no mood to mess about at the weekend and scored 16 tries, with John Roodt converting eight of them.

Flanker Savvas Nel, according to suparugby.com, was the official Man of the Match for his hat-trick of tries, with SW Oosthuizen scoring an inredible four tries.

Theuns ‘Worsie’ Kotzé (pictured – from behind) started the match at flyhalf, before being forced off in the 50th minute with a hamstring injury.

Before leaving the field, however, Kotzé controlled things well from the No.10 position – scoring a try and also kicking two conversions.
