Late bench change for Shimlas

FNB Shimlas coach Jaco Swanepoel has made a late change to his bench ahead of this afternoon’s Varsity Cup semifinal clash against the Ikey Tigers at Groote Schuur.

Jaco Colyn (pictured) – who can play scrumhalf and flyhalf – has been drafted into the No.21 jersey, with Johan van Schalkwyk dropping out of the Shimlas matchday 23 altogether.

The Ikeys have not made any late changes to their 23-man squad announced on Friday and neither have Stellenbosch or Pukke, who are playing in the other semifinal today.

The UCT-Shimlas semifinal takes place at 4.15pm at UCT’s Green Mile, followed by the Maties-Pukke battle, at Stellenbosch’s Danie Craven Stadium, at 6.30pm.
