Moore blow for TUT

FNB TUT coach Jimmy Watt has been forced to name a provisional squad for their Varsity Cup clash against the University of Pretoria (FNB Tuks) on Monday.

Various injuries have crept into the TUT camp after their 21-39 second round loss to UCT in last Monday’s FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International match.

Lock and captain Wouter Moore has been ruled out of the upcoming fixture through injury and is replaced by Tiaan Fick, with Johan Steenkamp joining him in the second row.

Moore, along with fullback Tertius Losper and wing Tjaart Kleu, are in a race against time to be fit for Monday’s important clash.

However, Moore is unlikely to be ready for the game and a call on the trio’s availability will be made on Saturday.

The only other positional change sees hooker Brendan Tshoshane coming in for Ruhan De Kock at hooker.

FNB TUT: 15 TBC, 14 Wynand Willis, 13 Johan Swartz, 12 Simphiwe Mthimkulu, 11 TBC, 10 Adillio Coutiers, 9 Andre Potgieter, 8 Wikus Botes, 7 Athi Mtya, 6 Adrihan Kruger, 5 Tiaan Fick, 4 Johan Steenkamp, 3 Jan-Harm Steenkamp, 2 Brendan Tshoshane, 1 Jaques Van Rooyen.
Replacements: 16 Ruhan De Kock, 17 Sangoni Mxoli, 18 Pieter Fourie, 19 Oswin Mentoor, 20 Nico Van Zyl, 21 Branco Du Preez, 22 TBC.
