Tuks to call the Police?

FNB Tuks will have their work cut out on Saturday when they play archrivals Police in a Carlton Cup Round One match.

Tuks are one of only three unbeaten sides after wins against Naka Bulle (33-3), Brits (48-5) and TUT (22-16) in recent weeks, but they will still be wary of the defending champions who are on a two-game losing streak at present.

Police are not having the best of starts to their season, having already lost to both TUT and Centurion. They will be desperate to get back in business as soon as possible and who better than against the team Bobbies defeated in the 2009 final?

Unfortunately, Tuks 1 will not be able to field their best side as star winger Dirk Dippenaar is out with flu, but they will be able to call upon points-machine Justin van Staden (pictured) at flyhalf.

The Tuks team: 15 Andries Coetzee, 14 Pieter Peens, 13 Gertjie Smith, 12 Johan Booysen, 11 John-Wessel Bell, 10 Justin van Staden, 9 Wesley Moolman, 8 Marius Weber, 7 Louis van Biljon, 6 Marnus Schoeman (captain), 5 Franco Mostert, 4 Joe Walters, 3 Peet Vorster, 2 AJ le Roux, 1 Corné Fourie.
Replacements: 16 Chris Crous, 17 Gert Andries van der Merwe, 18 Rudolf Smith, 19 Willie Nel, 20 Hendrik Blignaut, 21 Louis Boshoff, 22 Devan Kruger.

Kick-off: 4pm
Venue: Police A
