Van Coller, Draghoender in the dock

Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) have filed a report against Shimlas’ Drew van Coller for an alleged infringement in last night’s Varsity Cup match at Groote Schuur.

Van Coller will attend a disciplinary hearing on Thursday, along with Stellenbosch centre Dabeon Draghoender, who was red-carded for a dangerous tackle against UCT.

NMMU were gallant in their FNB Varsity Cup presented by Steinhoff International match against Shimlas, going into half-time at 8-8, before losing 37-11 to the Men from the Free State.

The other game in Cape Town saw the Maties beat UCT 12-10 in a closely-fought encounter.
