"We are extremely happy to be able to take the semifinals and finals of Varsity Cup back to the universities," says Varsity Cup CEO, Duitser Bosman. "Out of respect for the situation on campuses during the beginning of the year we decided to move matches to neutral venues. The Varsity Cup Board today gave the green light to move matches back to campuses.

"The supporters and the ‘gees’ they bring is at the heart of Varsity Cup and we look forward to end this year's tournament with thousands of fans supporting their teams, on their home grounds. The competition belongs on campus and we’re happy to see it return home.”

The semifinals for Varsity Cup are scheduled for Monday, April 4. Log leaders Maties already confirmed to host one semifinal in Stellenbosch next week Monday.
