Fisher and Gloucester part ways

NEWS: Gloucester Rugby head coach Laurie Fisher has left the Premiership side with immediate effect.

Fisher met with club officials over the past 48 hours and it was mutually agreed that he would leave his position.

The club released a statement which read: "Gloucester Rugby would like to place on record its thanks for Laurie's hard work and commitment during his time at the club.

"Would like to wish him well in his future endeavours.  

"The club will be making no further comment on the matter," the statement concluded.

The Australian joined Gloucester in 2014 after a stint with the Brumbies.
