Lions bring in more players for URC

TRANSFER NEWS: The Lions have added two more backline players to their squad ahead of the upcoming United Rugby Championship.

Griquas centre Christopher Hollis and Pumas scrumhalf Ginter Smuts have both joined the Lions on loan.

Smuts was one of the Pumas’ key players during their Currie Cup campaign, while Hollis helped Griquas reach the Currie Cup semifinals.

They are the latest players to join the Johannesburg team after four Pumas players joined the franchise last week.

Eddie Fouche will give the Lions some added depth in the flyhalf position. He will be joined in Johannesburg by his Pumas captain and lock Pieter Jansen van Vuren.

Prop Morgan Naude and centre Matt More were the other two Pumas players to sign with the Lions.
