The Blues confirmed that in-form captain Patrick Tuipulotu tore the medial ligament in his right knee in their Super Rugby Pacific quarterfinal win against the Fijian Drua.

He is expected to be out of action for the next six to seven weeks, which means he will play no further part in his team’s Super Rugby play-off run.

He will be unavailable for All Black duty when Scott Robertson’s side takes on England in July.

Tuipulotu will likely be back in action for the All Blacks during the Rugby Championship.

In this episode of Walk the Talk, Jim Hamilton chats with double World Cup winner Damian de Allende about all things Springbok rugby, including RWC2023 and the upcoming Ireland series. Watch now for free on RugbyPass TV
