All Black captain doubtful
New Zealand are in danger of losing yet another captain to illness or injury.
Kieran Read, standing in as captain for the injured Richie McCaw, could miss the Rugby Championship showdown with Argentina in Del Plata on Saturday.
Read missed Friday's final training run due to illness and a decision on whether he'll play won't be made until later.
If he isn't fit to play, Conrad Smith is likely to be named captain.
Although Richie McCaw trained fully, his return is till a week away.
McCaw, who suffered a medial ligament knee injury, is set to return in the much-anticipated rematch with the Springboks in Johannesburg next week.
However, All Black coach Steve Hansen wasn't looking past the clash with the Pumas.
"This game has huge significance with regard to us having any chance of winning the Rugby Championship," Hansen said.
Playing Argentina at home is never an easy assignment so we have worked hard on, firstly, our recovery on arrival and, secondly, our preparation throughout the week.
"We know that we will have to be physically on top of our game and strategically smart.
"As always, we are expecting a huge challenge from the Argentina and a very vocal crowd but everyone is looking forward to embracing this challenge.
"The city of La Plata has had its difficulties since we were here last, with the flooding, so it is an opportunity for both teams to bring something positive to the region."
