Argentina clip their wings
Argentina have made three changes ahead of their clash with the Wallabies on Saturday with both wings being axed after poor showings against New Zealand.
The final change sees suspended lock Tomas Lavanini replaced by the young Matias Alemanno as the only change to the South American's formidable pack.
Horacio Agulla and Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino, who started on the wings against New Zealand in Napier, have been cut in favour of Juan Imhoff and Manuel Montero.
Coach Daniel Hourcade has keep consistency in his effective halfback pairing of Martin Landajo and Nicolas Sanchez, with Sanchez steadily growing as an attacking threat.
The Argentineans, while still on the lookout for a first ever Rugby Championship scalp, will be buoyed with their performances against the Springboks.
Los Pumas pushed South Africa all the way in their opening two Tests only conceded a late penalty to lose 33-31 in Salta.
The Pumas last defeated over the Wallabies in 1997 while their last victory on Australian soil comes nearly 30 years ago.
In last year's tournament they were unlucky to lose by one point in the rain in Perth before the Wallabies smashed them 54-17 in the return match in Rosario.
Argentina's strength remains in their scrum and they will be looking to dominate there again through the impressive trio of Ramiro Herrera, captain Agustin Creevy and in-form loosehead Marcos Ayerza.
The Pumas loose trio is another standout part of their team with No.8 Leonardo Senatore, Juan Manuel Leguizamon and former skipper Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe balancing nicely.
Hourcade has also called up three new players to the bench with flyhalf Jeronimo De La Fuente, prop Bruno Postiglioni and lock Benjamin Macome all sitting as Replacments.
