Argentina picks two lots of Jaguars

The Argentinian Rugby Union has announced two teams of Jaguars, one to play against Uruguay this weekend, the other for the Churchill Cup.

The Jaguars are a new concept for Argentina and are not to be confused with the South American concoction of the 1980s.

The Jaguars to play Uruguay are taking part in the South American Championship and started off by thumping Chile 89-6.

The Churchill Cup will be in competition in Denver, Colorado, USA, from 6 to 21 June. The teams taking part are Canada, England Saxons, Georgia, Ireland A, the Jaguars and the USA. Last year Argentina A lost in the Final to Ireland A.

There are seven Jaguars in the Churchill Cup squad who play their club rugby in Europe.
