Cheika reveals his #RWC squad
SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT: Argentina head coach Michael Cheika has named his 33-man squad for the World Cup in France.
Cheika has included stalwarts Nicolás Sánchez and Agustín Creevy in the side.
The pair are set to play in their fourth World Cup.
The side will be captained by Julian Montoya.
The Los Pumas squad have loads of experience, with ten players – Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro, Julián Montoya, Matías Alemanno, Tomás Lavanini, Guido Petti, Pablo Matera, Tomás Cubelli, Jerónimo de la Fuente, Matías Moroni and Juan Imhoff – playing in their third tournament.
Meanwhile, former Sevens player Rodrigo Isgro also got the nod along with rookie back row Pedro Rubiolo, two players who a few months ago may have thought their chances were slim.
Among the notable absentees are centre Matias Orlando and versatile back Santiago Cordero.
Argentina open their World Cup campaign against England in Marseille on September 9.
They also face Japan, Samoa and Chile in Pool D.
