England's Curry out of November Tests
The 19-year-old Sale flank, one of a clutch of youthful back-row forwards vying for England selection, was due to be on the bench for Saturday's match against Argentina at Twickenham.
But an injury suffered while training Thursday has also ruled Curry out of the Red Rose's other Twickenham Tests this month against Australia and Samoa as well.
"Following a scan this afternoon it has been confirmed that Tom Curry dislocated a small bone in his left wrist today [Thursday]," said a RFU statement.
"He underwent a minor operation this evening and is likely to be out for up to 12 weeks."
Exeter's Sam Simmonds, himself only 22, has been brought in to take Curry's place on the bench.
England coach Eddie Jones gave plenty of consideration to starting with Curry before opting for 21-year-old Bath loose forward Sam Underhill at openside flank against the Pumas.
"We've had a good battle between Underhill and Curry," said Jones. "They're genuine opensides. We've got Simmonds coming through.
"We've got some good back rowers coming through. It's a new generation. They're athletically good. They've got a good attitude. It's very exciting."
