Hernandez finds home in Toulon
Argentine playmaker Juan Martin Hernandez, without a club since quitting Racing-Metro in the off-season, will join Toulon in January until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old Hernandez will replace Australian international James O'Connor, who is to return to his homeland to play in Super Rugby in a bid to make the Wallabies squad for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Hernandez, nicknamed the "Magician" for his silky skills, is currently playing with Los Pumas in the Rugby Championship.
The 47-times capped back quit Racing-Metro, with whom he had been since 2010, to focus fully on the national team.
The injury-plagued Hernandez was twice champion of France with Racing's cross-Paris rivals Stade Francais (2004, 2007), the club with which he made his name.
Hernandez was also signed to play in South Africa for Super Rugby team the Sharks in 2010, but a back operation sidelined the Puma and he played no role in the Durban-based team's campaign.
