Hourcade names his Pumas
Daniel Hourcade on Tuesday announced his first matchday side as Pumas coach for Saturday’s Test against England at Twickenham.
Hourcade made three changes to the backline that started in Argentina’s 17-54 loss to Australia in the final Rugby Championship Test in Rosario last month.
Lucas González Amorosino starts at fullback in place of Juan Martín Hernández, Santiago Fernández fills the void in midfield following Felipe Contepomi’s retirement from Test rugby and Tomas Cubelli replaces Martin Landajo scrumhalf.
In the pack, Julio Farias Cabello will wear the No.6 jersey vacated by injured regular captain Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe, Mariano Galarza joins Patricio Albacete in the second row and Maximiliano Bustos starts at tighthead ahead of Juan Pablo Orlandi.
The bench includes two uncapped players in Santiago Iglesias Valdez and Santiago Cordero. Juan Manuel Leguizamón, as revealed on Monday, will captain the side at No.8.
