Jaguars beat Wolves

The Argentina Jaguars beat Portugal 24-13 in Lisbon on Saturday.

This match came a week after the Jaguars’ 24-22 defeat by Georgia.

The Jaguars scored two tries, including a penalty try, to one.

In the pouring rain, Portugal struck early when Eduardo Acosta scored a try after just three minutes and Pedro Leal converted. 7-0. Santiago González reduced the lead with a penalty but Leal increased the lead with a penalty.

The Jaguars struck back with a try by Belisario Agulla to make the score 10-8 after 17 minutes. That was the half-time score. Each time Portugal scored, the Jaguars hit back. The first penalty was two minutes after Acosta’s try and the Jaguars’ try came a minute after Leal had kicked the penalty.

González goaled three penalties before Pedro Cabral got one back for the home side to make the score 17-13 to the Jaguars with four minutes to play. But a penalty try made the game safe for the Jaguars.
