Los Pumas coach Ledesma replaces injured quartet
NEWS: Argentina head coach Mario Ledesma has drafted in a quartet of players for the Pumas upcoming three November Tests after four withdrew due to injury.
The 43-times capped wing Santiago Cordero, who plays for Top 14 side Bordeaux-Begles, comes in for Toulouse’s Juan Cruz Mallia.
Experienced lock Matias Alemanno, prop Facundo Gigena – who both play in the English Premiership for Gloucester and London Irish respectively – as well as back row forward Rodrigo Bruni all have shoulder injuries.
They have been replaced by lock Lucas Paulos and prop Rodrigo Martinez, both with two caps, and back row forward Joaquin Oviedo, capped just once.
Argentina kick off their Northern Hemisphere tour against France on November 6 and follow that with Tests against Italy (November 13) and Ireland (November 21).
