Pumas skipper ruptures spleen

Toulon's Argentina captain Juan Martin Fernandez-Lobbe will be out for around six weeks with a ruptured spleen, the French Top 14 leaders Toulon announced on Tuesday.

The loose forward suffered the problem in Toulon's 51-6 victory over Montpellier at the weekend.

The 31-year-old came off in the 44th minute after a tackle left him with minor internal haemorrhaging. He was taken to hospital where he is still undergoing treatment, but he does not require surgery.

The former Sale player, who normally plays as a flank or No.8, will miss the Top 14 clash at Castres on February 22 with a return to action expected on April 14 when Toulon play Clermont.
