Leinster release Wallaby lock

Leinster confirmed that a suitable agreement has been reached to release Wallabies lock Kane Douglas from his contract with the province with immediate effect.

A request was made by the Australian Rugby Union earlier this month for Douglas to be released from his contract, under World Rugby Regulation 9.

Douglas made a total of 20 appearances for Leinster last season [14 PRO12, six European Rugby Champions Cup) before missing the tail-end of the season with a back injury.
