TEAM NEWS: England prop Ellis Genge has tested positive for coronavirus and will miss Saturday’s one-off Test against Australia at Twickenham, the Rugby Football Union has announced.

Genge, who was named in the starting line-up by coach Eddie Jones, “returned a positive PCR result on Friday morning from a test taken on Thursday morning”, said an RFU statement.

Genge, 26, immediately went into isolation and there were no other positive results.

England confirmed that Bevan Rodd will start on his debut for England at prop.

While Trevor Davison is named on the bench.

England captain Owen Farrell missed last week’s 69-3 win against Tonga after what turned out to be a false positive test for Covid-19.

The squad, which trained on Friday, has undergone an additional round of testing.
