Barbarians too good for plucky Brazil

MATCH REPORT: The Barbarians recorded a 47-22 victory over Brazil in Sao Paulo on Wednesday.

Melbourne Rebels loose forward Angus Cottrell was the star of the show scoring two tries in the win.

Fiji’s Campese Ma’afu scored the opening try before Argentina’s Felipe Ezcurra and New Zealander David Havili also got over the whitewash for the invitational side.

At half-time, the Barbarians has a slender 19-15 lead, with Brazil showing great fight to stay in the game.

Havili got another try in the second half before Cottrell matched his tally.

Scrumhalf Jano Vermaak also got his name onto the scoresheet with a five-pointer.
