Burgess heading home

Australian scrumhalf Luke Burgess will quit French giants Toulouse at the end of the season and return home, the 28-year-old Wallaby said.

"I am going to leave. I have another opportunity," Burgess, who has another year on his deal, said.

"It's hard to work in another language, but that's not an excuse.

"It's a challenge that I appreciate," added the player who joined Toulouse from the Waratahs after the 2011 World Cup.

Burgess admitted there were huge differences to playing in France and the career he enjoyed in Super Rugby in Australia.

"The rucks are different, the refereeing is different, that's true. But I have learned a lot playing in Europe."
