Australia won the Tri-Nations, which suggests they must also dominate our Team of the Tournament.

However, they received some stern competition from  both New Zealand and South Africa – as the Wallabies just shaded the All Blacks with seven players ahead of the five Kiwis. The Springboks trail at last place with three team members.

The All Blacks shade the Bubbling under selection, with seven members in our back-up squad, followed by five Boks and three Wallabies.

6 Heinrich Brüssow (South Africa):
He needed only one game to convince us he is still one of the game’s best poachers. And, yes, he does play with a No.6 on his back, hence we have two ‘fetchers’ in our team.

5 James Horwill (Australia):
It is not a surprise he took the Wallaby captaincy off Rocky Elsom. He leads from the front.

3 Owen Franks (New Zealand):
He will be crucial to the All Black scrum at the World Cup, considering that Wyatt Crockett won’t be there.

Many feel he should start ahead of John Smit and in his one start for the Springboks he proved that they may have a valid point.
