Daddy Barnes racing the clock

Wallabies flyhalf Berrick Barnes is racing the clock to be back in Melbourne for the second Test against Wales on Saturday.

Barnes was forced to leave the Wallabies camp unexpectedly late Friday, to return home to Sydney where his wife Bec has since given birth to the couple's first child, a son.

Determined to be a part of the outfit that will seek to seal the three-Test series after winning the opener 27-19 in Brisbane last week, Barnes is planning to board a flight out of Sydney on Saturday.

He is likely to re-assemble with the team less than two hours before kick-off.
