Nathan Hughes and Lewis Ludlow are due to appear before an independent disciplinary panel after Saturday’s Premiership match between Wasps and Gloucester at the Ricoh Arena. Gloucester won 35-21.

Ludlow has been cited for stamping or trampling Wasps’ Elliot Daly contrary to Law 9.12 and Hughes for punching or striking Ludlow contrary to Law 9.12.

The hearings will take place consecutively in Coventry on Wednesday, October 10.

The panel will be chaired by Gareth Graham with Matthew Weaver and one other panel member to be confirmed.

If found guilty, Hughes could face a lengthy ban which will see him miss England’s matches against South Africa, New Zealand, Japan and Australia in November.
