Fainga'a blow for Wallabies

Wallaby and Reds centre Anthony Faingaa will be out of the for up to six months, after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Faingaa, 26, was last week announced in a 40-man Wallaby training squad, but he will now miss the Rugby Championship and the European year-end tour following surgery on his right shoulder.

He will target a return to action at the beginning of the 2014 Super Rugby season.

No replacement has yet been named for Faingaa in the Australian training squad, which will assemble for a five-day camp in Sydney on Monday.

New Wallaby coach Ewen McKenzie will announce his final squad of up to 30 players on August 9.
