Naiyaravoro in Wallaby frame?

Wallaby coach Michael Cheika has fuelled the flame surrounding the international eligibility of Waratahs star Taqele Naiyaravoro.

The wing has been mentioned by Fiji coach John McKee in a squad announcement for a pre-World Cup camp.

However,  Naiyaravoro was listed as a player 'not considered for this camp', because he is still involved with the Waratahs – who will host one of two Super Rugby semifinals next week.

"From what I have seen, he has been named not to attend so I'm not quite sure what that is, around naming," Cheika said.

This comes after speculation that the 23-year old was set for a move to Scottish giants Glasgow, which would undoubtedly sew up eligibility for their national side.

"He is a popular lad because he is playing for Scotland as well apparently and he is playing for Fiji and who knows, he might even play for Australia one day, see how it goes," Cheika said jokingly.

Cheika is yet to name a full Wallabies squad, but has been watching Naiyaravoro closely during his time at the Waratahs.

The Wallabies will commence their World Cup preparations in Brisbane next week, with members of the Reds, Force and Rebels making up a 22-man preliminary train-on squad.
