Player ratings: Stroll in the park
The 32-8, five tries to one, victory was just the start the Wallabies need for their Grand Slam tour.
The Aussies still face Scotland, Ireland and England – with France thrown in for hood measure.
Jan de Koning rates the Australian players!
15 Israel Folau:
Some great off-loads, plenty of run-metres, line-breaks and secure at the back.
8/10
14 Dane Haylett-Petty:
His aerial skills are great and looked eager to get involved, also running wild in a fame where defence was not at a premium.
7/10
13 Tevita Kuridrani:
Strolled through so many holes it looked like an uncontested training run.
8/10
12 Reece Hodge:
Great inside line for his try and had a few other breaks against a very porous defence.
7/10
11 Henry Speight:
The most unproductive of the backs – the game just did not flow his way.
6/10
10 Bernard Foley:
Not as assured off the kicking tee as one has come to expect, but relished the freedom afforded to him by a lacklustre Welsh defence – although there was quite a bit of lateral running.
7/10
9 Nick Phipps:
Did what was required of him behind the pack and allowed the other backs to play. Pity about the turnovers he conceded.
6/10
8 Lopeti Timani:
Looked to get involved, but struggled to get over the advantage line.
6/10
7 Michael Hooper:
Not perfect – with three missed tackles – but the most productive of the Wallaby forwards, both with ball in hand, at the breakdown and on defence.
8/10
6 David Pocock:
Far too quiet, certainly by his normal standards.
5/10
5 Adam Coleman:
Really worked hard off the ball, producing the highest tackle count and also plenty of carries that got the Wallabies on the front foot.
7/10
4 Rory Arnold:
Like most players he missed a few tackles, but he worked hard and was effective in the physical exchanges.
6/10
3 Sekope Kepu:
Solid in the set pieces, but his workrate was ordinary.
5/10
2 Stephen Moore (captain):
Not his best game, but he had periods of productivity.
6/10
1 Scott Sio:
His scrumming was impressive in the first half, but he dropped off the pace after the break.
5/10
