Pumas pose fresh challenge

Wallaby flyhalf Quade Cooper says preparing for Saturday’s Rugby Championship clash with Argentina has been a unique experience.

Of the current crop of Wallabies, only stand-in captain Nathan Sharpe has played against the Pumas, and Cooper admits they know precious little about the Argentine as the teams gear up for their first meeting in nine years.

"There's been a lot of tape watching this week for a lot of the boys," Cooper said.

"We don't know much about them and no-one in the team, except for Sharpey, has had the opportunity to play against them.

"Their unpredictability is a big strength of their's and also their forward pack.”

Cooper said the Wallabies would need to be tactically astute if they are to negotiate the mystery surrounding the South Americans.

"They're definitely a team we're not taking lightly at all. They're going to throw a lot at us," he said.
