TEAM UPDATE: England suffered another injury blow just hours ahead of the start of their 2024 Six Nations campaign.

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) revealed that Ellis Genge will miss the Six Nations opener against Italy in Rome.

The loose head had been named on the bench as backup to the starting Joe Marler on Saturday.

However, a foot injury has now forced him out and the No.17 shirt will instead be worn at the Stadio Olimpico by Beno Obano.

The news broke after the England squad arrived by bus at the ground and the change has left front row Obano in line for his first Test appearance in nearly three years.
