Canada topples Chile
AMERICAS RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP: Andrew Coe scored three second-half tries as Canada continued its domination over Chile with a 56-0 rout.
Kainoa Lloyd also had three first-half tries for the 21st ranked Canadians, who bounced back from previous losses to Uruguay and Brazil in the international tournament.
Canada now has a perfect record of six wins and no losses against Chile dating back to 2002. They also met in last year’s tournament with Canada winning 33-17.
Canada started quickly as Kyle Baillie scored in the first 10 minutes of play at the 1,600 seat Westhills Park in Victoria, British Columbia. The Canucks led 31-0 at halftime.
Canada also won despite being without several of their top players who are competing overseas with club teams.
Canada has two more games against Argentina on March 1 and the USA on March 8.
