Portugal out to make a point

After seeing offd Namibia last weekend, Portugal play their second World Cup qualified team, Canada, in Lisbon on Saturday.

Portugal, who did so well at the 2007 World Cup, are disappointed that they are not there again next year and relish the chance to make a point against teams that will be there.

there are three changes to the Portuguese side which beat Namibia. Experienced Gonçalo Foro comes onto the right wing in the place of José Lima and in the pack Rui D’Orey comes into lock for Juan Severin and at tighthead Cristian Spachuk replaces Anthony Alves.

Uncapped Bernardo Silveira, a CDUL wing, comes onto the bench.

On their tour Canada a-=have beaten Belgium (43-12) and Spain (60-22) and lost to Georgia (22-16). The Lisbon match is the last of their tour.
