Cheetahs dealt injury blow to Bok Faf de Klerk
INJURY UPDATE: Springbok World Cup-winning scrumhalf, Faf de Klerk, will be sidelined for the next month after sustaining a short-term injury.

Frans Steyn’s side looked set to record a historic win away from home that day, but the hosts held on for a nervy 29-27 victory.
In the process, the Cheetahs lost De Klerk, and it has since been revealed that the Bok star will be out for eight weeks.
He is expected to return in early January, in time for Round Three of the Challenge Cup, when the Cheetahs face Zebre Parma in Italy.
De Klerk will miss his side’s second clash in the competition against the Dragons next month.
The 35-year-old has been influential since joining the Bloemfontein side from Japan.
He led the side to an impressive Currie Cup campaign, where they were knocked out in the semifinals after going down to the Pumas.
De Klerk last represented the Springboks in 2025 against Georgia in Mbombela.
