Jones taking blows ahead of Six Nations

According to the Daily Mail the Australian wore a medical dressing over his left temple, which he later removed to show off a large gash on his eye socket, at the Hurlingham Club in south-west London.

There was also a smaller cut and swelling on Jones's left cheekbone and he was seen pressing an ice pack onto the bruised area.

The coach revealed the wounds were not a result of some over-enthusiastic participation with his players on the training field but rather after an accident at his home.

Jones stated to reporters he slipped and fell in his bathroom.

The incident comes just days after Jones appointed Sherylle Calder as a visual awareness coach
