Barnes for Premiership Final

Wayne Barnes will referee the Final of the English Premiership between Leicester Tigers, the holders, and London Wasps, two of the best teams at winning trophies.

The match will be played at Twickenham on 31 May 2008 and seems to be heading for a sell-out after the two griping semifinals.

Barnes will have two specialised touch judges to help him – Peter Huckle and Paul Dix.

There will be further cover and assistance from his experienced 4 and 5 – Dave Pearson and Tony Spreadbury.

The men to look after timekeeping and the video refereeing are also specialists – Laurie Bryant and Geoff Warren
