Bok centre on English club's radar
IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Northampton Saints coach Chris Boyd is eyeing a few big names to bolster his squad.
The Saints are still looking for a centre to replace Wallaby Rob Horne who retired from the game in April last year after suffering a career-ending injury.
According to the Daily Mail, Boyd has narrowed down his search to All Blacks Ryan Crotty and Matt Proctor, Springbok Jesse Kriel and England midfielder Jonathan Joseph.
Kriel, Joseph and Crotty are all potential options after the World Cup, while Hurricanes centre Proctor could join the Saints after Super Rugby.
It is believed Boyd also approached England centre Elliot Daly, but the 26-year-old is set to join Saracens.
The Saints are currently eighth in the 2018/2019 Premiership standings.
