Mako Vunipola has a small tear of scar tissue which will require approximately 10 days of rehabilitation.

The Saracens prop came off with the injury in England’s win over Ireland on Saturday.

Exeter Chiefs’ Ben Moon will join up with Eddie Jones’ side as a temporary replacement to train in Treviso.

England will play their final World Cup warm-up match against Italy in Newcastle on September 6 before flying out to Japan.

The 2019 Six Nations runners-up have so far beaten Wales and most recently Ireland at Twickenham in their preparation for the World Cup, as well as losing to the Grand Slam champions in Cardiff.
