England sweating over Vunipola

England will be sweating over the fitness of star loose forward Billy Vunipola ahead of the decisive Round Four Six nations encounter with Wales.

England, who bounced back from 3-10 down to seal a 13-10 win over Ireland at the weekend, meet Wales at Twickenham on Sunday, March 9 – a game that will be critical to both teams' Six Nations championship hopes.

The other two title contenders, Ireland and France, meet Italy and Scotland respectively in matches played a day earlier.

All four teams – Ireland, France, England and Wales – are on four points and the loser at Twickenham may well be kissing their title hopes goodbye.

Vunipola continues to be treated for an ankle injury sustained against Ireland the weekend.

He will undergo scans on Monday.

Tom Wood suffered cramp during the game, but has recovered.

The match 23 will return to Pennyhill Park on Tuesday and, following a review of the Ireland match and training, the replacements will return to their Premiership clubs.

The Ireland match XV will train on Wednesday and depart Thursday before returning to Pennyhill Park next Monday to prepare for the Wales game.
